The Gamekeepers

The Gamekeepers in Mapledurwell and Up Nately is a traditional British pub with a great atmosphere and delicious food. The menu features locally sourced food, including venison, duck, and fish. The Tunworth cheese starter is particularly noteworthy and the desserts are all homemade. The staff are friendly and efficient and the landlord, Phil, is a great host. Prices may be a bit high for some items, but the quality of the food makes it worth it. The only downside is that the owner wears shabby flip-flops, shorts, and T-shirt when hosting guests, which may be off-putting for some. All in all, The Gamekeepers is a great place to visit for a meal or drinks and highly recommended.
