We had an okay meal this afternoon at the Gate House. It seemed that they were short-staffed, but we had significant wait times (to get seated despite several empty tables, for food despite ordering ASAP, and for beverage refills). My husband got the pimento burger and really liked it, as well as the fries! The burger price ($18) seemed comparable to other Island prices and was a good size serving. I got the chopped salad ($18) and was less than impressed. It was very bland and not anything substantial in size. Beverages were overpriced, but the patio atmosphere was great.
