Just after celebrating my Mum's 80th family celebration at the beautiful Gateway Hotel Swinford. And we all had a fabulous time thanks to all the wonderful efficient professional staff especially Colette who I was dealing with when I booked ,she was so friendly and helpful and nothing was too much bother as I had to cancel at one stage as my Mum got called for her hip replacement. Yesterday my partner and I went to do the final touches and they had the room absolutely beautifully set up. On arrival yesterday evening we met a very handsome young buck called Ross and he did the champagne reception with style. His Mum Trish went to great lengths to make our party a huge success. All the staff were absolutely brilliant, especially Katie who took our family portrait. As for the food everybody enjoyed it.lt was top notch. Excellently presented, plenty on the plate and absolutely delicious. The service was unreal.!! The decor of the place absolutely stunning . There is a lovely ambiance as soon as you walk through the door with there fresh flowers & and candles. Love the bathroom with the massive mirror very very important for us ladies and more importantly immaculately clean. Would highly recommend Gateway Hotel for any special occasion. Thank you all so much for making Mum's 80th a very memorable occasion. Service: 5

Dropped in for a Monday lunch. The hotel is somewhat unassuming from the outside but very nicely decorated inside with clean well maintained bathrooms. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The meals were well cooked and quite large. The desserts were very good. Well worth stopping by for a good hearty lunch. Service: 5
