Went for a meal at the Globe after a long winters walk on Bleak Low Head. It was the perfect place to go and recover after a long walk. The atmosphere was warm and friendly and the food was fantastic. We stayed and chatted for hours. The pub has a great range of vegan options and the prices are really good value. Noise level: Quiet, easy to talk Group size: 3-4 people Wait time: No wait Seating type: Indoor dining area, Bar area

It is quite sad to have to be giving a fully Vegan place a 1* review. But it is easily done when it is obvious the staff at The Globe are obviously extremely shallow and uninspired in life to give anything else a try other than a job they quite clearly hate. In hindsight it makes complete sense why they would feel this way. I couldn’t imagine having to turn up most days and get put in my place by customers, being clueless about the food I’m serving daily. Talking of hindsight If anyone is blessed enough to be served by the blonde lady with glasses. I cannot recommend enough not asking about allergens. You’ll be met with huffing and puffing. Likely because it’s embarrassing to not be educated on something you do almost daily. That would be unpleasant to be shown up on that. Don’t ask for your money back on a dish which you can’t get an answer for on allergens which has sat on the table for 15 minutes. You will witness more of the disdain for a job this person has no confidence, knowledge or will to be in. I did laugh on the inside when I was questioned on what table I was sat at. Since the staff had moved tables around and not put them in numerical order. This questioning happened to the guy served before me and then happened to myself. Try Subway a quarter of a mile up the road. The people serving there are fully confident in themselves, what they are doing day to day and are fully clued up on allergens.
