Ah yes! The Greedy Pig. Vancouver's coolest little Gastown rock'n'roll bar. By day a casual lunch fave - the soup and sandwich menu is always satisfying and delicious. By night though! Guitar driven rock on the sound system (Iggy not Nickelback) generous cocktails and down to earth service that makes even new fans feel like welcome regulars. Live music on the weekend (on my last visit I saw a band that had the crowded dance floor packed with happy faces). A perfect venue for a casual date, beers with friends or a largish group - their back lounge area is ideal for a group of say 12 people. The Greedy Pig would be at home in New York or London but lucky for us it's in Vancouver.
