This hurts me.... I moved out of state and came back to NJ for a short while hoping to eat here again.... The food was always amazing and I was hoping maybe the "Permanently Close" reports were false... that Eggplant Spread with walnut was serious... I really hope they have moved or something.... This really ruined my trip. Sigh, I missed them already =[

Ugh, I can't believe it? They're closed! I'm so bummed because the food was seriously amazing. I mean, I'm not even a huge fan of Greek food, but this place was a game-changer. It was like a crash course in authentic Greek cuisine. And now it's gone. *Sigh* What a shame.

This afternoon, I placed an order over the phone for lunch. I was happy to find a casual spot where I could pickup. I was in the area running errands and wanted to try a new place. I love Greek food and so does my partner, who is vegetarian (usually we can get great veggie-friendly options with Greek cuisine). The food was flavorful and fresh. Plus, it passed my tzatziki test - a tell of a good Greek spot. You know it's legit when the tzatziki is on point. This is what we ordered for lunch; all recommended! - spinach pie with fries - large greek salad - falafel platter - hummus dip with pita If you are driving over to The Greek Place, there is a small private lot for the stores in the corner building where the restaurant is. You have to turn into Glendale to get to the back parking lot.
