Oh dear. What’s happened to the Green Man? Atmosphere, friendly welcome and coziness all gone. Love seat in the window replaced by dour stools and two ill fitting lounge chairs. Pint of Timothy Taylor was dreadful, started fine but got more sour as I drank it and had clearly been sitting. Loud Smooth FM pumped through TV upstairs. Furniture doesn’t fit the room. Feel very disappointed. Toilets grubby and dusty. Poorly chosen football memorabilia. It was spot on before. Someone has very much missed the point and possibility with this lovely little bar. Price per person: £10–20 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2

Lovely little establishment for a quiet drink indoors on a rainy evening or when the sun is shining, the ample outdoor seating offers a vibrant and sociable atmosphere and a great sun spot a little way up Stokesley highstreet. Reasonable prices and a decent selection. A gem of a pub in the heart of Stokesley. Price per person: £1–10 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
