Most noteworthy - friendly and personable service. The quiche was lovely and classic. The art on the walls is very nice and the atmosphere of the outside tables is serene under mature trees next to the cathedral. Exactly what I wanted and I very much enjoyed. The cafe is within the cathedral grounds which I must say are absolutely beautiful. We arrived slightly early but the lady who greeted us was extremely welcoming and pleasant and actually made this cafe in my opinion. The menu is limited which I can totally understand but I would say slightly overpriced. Paid not far of £40 for 1 sandwich, 3 coffees( 2 regular and 1 large) 2 of these did include syrups and the rarebit special and one soft drink. The coffees were delicious and the rarebit ( which I tried a little) was lovely. I was slightly disappointed with the cheese and plum chutney sandwich. Just felt a bit sparce. I would come again but maybe just for coffee and cake. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £10–20 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Welsh Rarebit
