We were blown away by our dinner at The Hinton. The food was excellent, the drinks were classic with an innovative twist and the service was warm and inviting. Audra was super kind and attentive and made us feel right at home. The foie gras starter might have been one of the best things I’ve ever eaten and I’ve traveled the world in search of phenomenal meals. We will definitely be back and can’t wait for the forthcoming tasting menu! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

My fiancé and I chose to dine here as we were spending the night at the Burg hotel, naturally we headed to the hotel’s restaurant for dinner time. While one can be understanding since we did not have a reservation, it was a normal Tuesday evening and it was already later in the night (8pm), so I found it peculiar and weird how my finance and I, the only two people of color at the restaurant , were pushed to sit at the bar area while there were plenty of tables open. We were told by the young Caucasian male host it “would be helpful” if we sat at the bar as if it was going to be packed in the next two hours and we would rob them of a table! Again, if there had been no tables open (which was not the case as more than half of them were available this Tuesday night) I would’ve understood. The drinks are mediocre and overpriced as if you were dining at a DC restaurant. The food was good but I’d only come back and order to go as I am not interested in being discriminated against again. I wish I had read other reviews that stated how customers are treated and made to feel uncomfortable in this “luxury” restaurant.
