We went on a Friday evening on payday weekend, so it was pretty busy with people drinking watching the footy rather than having a sit down meal when we were at the establishment. The reason we went for the meal at The Huntsman is because we had seen videos on YouTube of the parmo meals and of the parmo challenge. Although we (4 people) all had ordered parmos, we were quite underwhelmed when we saw the portion sizes for the price of the FULL sized parmo. For as we had seen on a video not 3 months prior uploaded onto YouTube from a reputable source, the size of the chicken parmo itself looked quite smaller in person. Although the food was tasty it just wasn't up to the hype that we looked forward to. From personal experience I would just say it's a place that serves food in a drinking establishment rather than a pub for quality and experience with the food. Just wanted to add a side note since I am not able to reply to comments that me dad's parmo had been sliced on 1 side, showing us that the sizes are not what they were in recent past. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3 Recommended dishes: Chicken Parmo

Helen, I’m sorry to read that we didn’t meet your expectation. As far as the size of a ‘parmo’ is concerned it is not under our control as we source chicken of a minimum size, unfortunately as we use whole breast rather that reformed chicken it is difficult to ensure that every parmo will be of an equal size. As for your comment regarding us being somewhere that serves drink and food that is exactly what we are, we don’t make any claim to be a restaurant or dining establishment we are indeed a local pub that meets the needs of the community by serving home cooked meals and drinks. Again I’m sorry we didn’t meet your expectations based on a video from elsewhere but do strive to serve consistently quality food. Thank you for your insight and feedback back and we hope we can welcome you again in the future to try other dishes from our menu as well as partake in our hospitality and atmosphere

Nice food but misleading food offers. Beware the 2 for 1 offers relates to the number of people rather than the number of meals.
