On a warm summer night had a lovely meal in the garden area. Plenty of tables to choose from. (I would imagine it would be very busy and popular at weekends). On this night it was quiet ish. Food was lovely and the staff were great. Will definitely be going back when next in the area. Price per person: £30–40

We had the most wonderful birthday celebration at The Huntsman and couldn’t have asked for a better start to the day before heading off on a hike with friends. The pub itself is absolutely beautiful so cosy and full of character, with huge gardens that are perfect for relaxing and enjoying the countryside. The menu was incredible everything sounded so delicious that we wanted to order one of everything! The food certainly lived up to expectations, and the Sunday roast was honestly one of the best I’ve ever had. A huge thank you to Ellie, Jesse, Dot and the entire kitchen team for looking after us so wonderfully. Everyone was so friendly, welcoming and attentive, and they made us feel genuinely cared for throughout our visit. Nothing was too much trouble, and their warmth and hospitality made my birthday celebration feel extra special. Thank you all so much for such a memorable afternoon. We can’t wait to come back!
