Unbelievably horrible. Don't let that beautiful view fool you. The service is lousy and that's probably because the manager Alejandro is the rudest woman hater I've ever encountered. Our waitress had a very difficult time with the English language and understanding the menu. She is new and should not be a waitress because she lacks knowledge of the menu. After 45 minutes of waiting for our food, she came back and said that my salad was not available. That's right folks a salad. So I asked her what ingredients they have for the salad to just make it with what they had. I waited another half an hour and by this time Everybody else was done eating and ready to leave and I had to go up and find out if they were actually going to make me the salad. She walked out with a salad that look like a five minute dinner salad that you put together. A five minute dinner salad that cost $18.00. I told her that we were leaving and I was not going to eat the salad. The manager Alejandro, then turned around and started becoming extremely rude and belligerent towards me. He made a scene in front of the entire restaurant. I walked away as he was following me wanting to be more belligerent. My group was shocked and astounded how abusive Alejandro was to me, and in front of children. as I was walking out with my two children, he was still belligerent to me with my kids. He wouldn't leave me alone. The food is blah, and the service is blah blah blah. And Alejandro is a big. Ahole. A prestigious ski resort as the palisades shame on you for not providing service to your customers. Shame on you for having a rude manager, who has no clue how to manage people and turnover tables. He has no idea how to treat people. Maybe he has a thing against women. it seems to me that he feels that he can be abusive towards women and not feel any recourse. This won't be the last that you've heard of me Alejandro. I suggest anybody wanting to eat there run in the opposite direction. Any female looking for a job as a waitress I suggest you run in the opposite direction. Because he is a womanizer and you will be miserable working for a man like that unless you file a big lawsuit. And if you do that, give me a ring I'll be a witness.

I ordered the 15 dollar pretzel and received 5 little pretzel bites. Every drink was 5 dollars and the workers never came buy to ask if we wanted refills. Everything was over-priced, and the food was nothing special. Don't waste your time or money here.

So you ride that gondola up to High Camp first thing in the morning on an empty stomach... you put in some slight work on the slopes and after 4 hours you and the team are famished and you're left with the tough decision on whether or not you spend $19 on a burger or $18 for some fish tacos at Granite Bistro OR add a couple dollars for bottomless food at this buffet for $25. Our hunger got the best of us and we definitely picked QUANTITY over quality... sigh. The posted menu at receiving looked inviting and I'm not one to really ask to food creep before making my decision, so we went with it. BBQ menu for lunch sounded appetizing - brioche buns, pulled pork, bbq chicken, mac & cheese, coleslaw, brussels sprouts, chicken tortilla soup, a full salad bar, & dessert. Brioche buns were on the hard and dry side, not sure how long it has been sitting out but we were the FIRST ONES seated as soon as they opened. Pulled pork was decent, BBQ chicken were chicken breast sliced and smothered in BBQ sauce, it had potential but it was not even hot. Mac and cheese was a good contender because how can you really ruin something as simple as that? At least this one was warm. The brussels sprouts were my favorite... again, only the tops were warm, not hot, barely WARM. They offered 3 different kinds of soup, the chicken tortilla was okay, at least it was HOT. Salad bar is very basic. For beverages, non-alcoholic, they had a selection of tea bags, hot chocolate machine, and soda. The desserts were chocolate chip cookies and brownies... that didn't look appetizing at all but never judge a book by its cover! Those were the best things I ate at this buffet. Cookies were perfectly crisp on the edges but soft and chewy in the middle. The brownies were like fudge! So good! I can't complain since we got our money's worth with a few rounds of whatever was palatable. Nothing more disappointing than looking forward to a hot meal after being in the cold... only to be served something that was ALMOST warm. The views here is what makes it worth it though. You have a full view of the mountains and even the lake at a distance especially if you sit at the bar. Squaw is such a beautiful resort, the food here could be better... a lot better. But if you're here for apres ski brews and sips... this is your spot! Or maybe try ordering from their regular menu and don't do the buffet. S/O to our Ikon Pass for that 10% dining discount, I felt a little better. LOL. Also, thanks to the chef that day for giving us a heads up that their coleslaw had egg in it (for the vegans in our team), and our server, Alex, who kept reminding us to hydrate and gave us a hard time for not having waters on our table... we probably really needed that.
