The Landing - Current River Rafting & Inner Tube Trip We had an absolutely fantastic time at *The Landing* on the Current River. The entire experience, from the logistics to the rafting, was seamless. Initially, we were concerned about having to haul our gear, like our ice chest, down to the river, but the staff made the process incredibly easy. From the moment you leave your hotel room, it's clear how to proceed. You simply bring your equipment down to the beach, and if you need any accessibility options, I’m confident the staff would be more than happy to help. Once your gear is at the beach, one person can watch over it while others head up to rent inner tubes, cooler floats, or inflatable kayaks. The rental area is conveniently located, and they even have ice available, making it super easy to prepare for your float. You can then head back down to the beach, where the staff helps load everything onto trailers attached to vans. These vans transport you about 9 to 10 miles up the river to the starting point. From there, the fun really begins. They assist with getting the rafts or boats into the water and make sure everyone has their paddles and life vests. Our float down the river was a perfect mix of adventure and relaxation. We stopped at various points to enjoy the scenery, have some fun with dance parties, and even participate in a Jello shot contest! Everyone was mindful of litter, which was great to see, as we all worked together to keep the river clean. One of the highlights of our trip was when my brother, Jeremy, flipped his raft after trying to grab a big stick. Thankfully, his cooler, dry bag, and even his flip-flops were saved—though we did lose a GoPro. Another memorable moment was when our friend Susan's kayak developed a hole, but with a little ingenuity and a Ziploc bag, we were able to patch it up for the rest of the trip. The entire journey took about 7 hours, and once I got the hang of paddling from the back of the raft, it became second nature. My wife, Kerri, was an amazing captain, guiding us like Lewis and Clark! The weather turned out to be perfect, with enough clouds to provide coverage, but not so much that it ruined the day. We were grateful for the sunscreen and made sure to reapply it throughout the trip. This was an excellent experience, especially for families or groups of friends looking to do something a little different. It requires just enough teamwork to make it interesting, and the bonding time on the river is unbeatable. The prices were very reasonable for everything, and if it’s your first time, I’d highly recommend renting a full raft rather than trying to manage a kayak. All in all, it’s an experience I can't wait to repeat!

The rooms are absolutely beautiful, the food at the restaurant was very good. The atmosphere of the entire place was just what we needed after the drive. Sat on the balcony and watched an eagle soar above the river and then treated with her Northern Lights!! Great value for the $

We bought the 5-hour float. And on this specific day that we went (8/23/24) The current was so slow that after 7 hours we were still about an hour away. We ended up having to flag down a passing by speedboat to get rescued. At the point that we flagged down the boat we were all so exhausted we honestly didn't know if we would even make it to the finish line. It's also about $40 a peson so keep that in mind. We went as a group of four and it was an absolute blast until the fatigue set in. We were met with so many logs sticking out of the water, trees that were overgrown blocking some of your paths... Which knocked one of my friends in the head because the current was flowing so fast we couldn't get away from the edge that hadn't been trimmed so she got smacked in the head and lost her glasses. If you're going to charge these kind of prices clean up the area a little better. That's why you're gettting at 3. The areas that were clean and we could just float and have fun I would have given you a 5 star for it. And I'm being generous with giving a three because there are areas that definitely need cleaned up. If you're going to charge us $160 for four people you can definitely get out there and clean up that river a little bit.
