I hadn't been to the lobster pot for years, and when a friend was staying recently we thought we would give it a go. We weren't disappointed The staff we so friendly from the moment we arrived, there were plenty of people in there too so the atmosphere was lovely, and the food was absolutely delicious, especially the prawn curry It'll definitely be top of the list next time I'm thinking of somewhere to eat out locally. What a disappointment! Sticky wooden table with paper napkins. Staff lovely. Oysters and scallops to start ok but small tough lobsters in a gloopy sauce with a portion of frozen chips on the same plate. Dessert ok. One glass of wine and an apple juice £120.00. The food in the cafe down the road was far superior and cheaper. This place has had a fantastic reputation for years but this meal did not live up to expectations.
