The Local Beet: Great food, but if you don’t speak Arabic, your delivery comes with a side of attitude Driver seems convinced that everyone must speak Arabic and refuse to communicate in English. My driver was rude and even yelling, despite the fact that I was doing my best to speak Arabic to him. Instead of patience or understanding, I was met with hostility. Tip to management: Assign English-speaking drivers to non-Arabic-speaking customers, or hire multilingual staff. In a diverse city like this, language inclusivity isn’t optional — it’s basic service.
