We are visiting friends in Brainerd Minnesota where The Local 218 is located. Owner and executive chef PJ Severson will provide a culinary experience second to none. We went today for lunch and I ordered the pork tenderloin with hand cut French fries ($19). The breading on the tenderloin is the best I have had. Flavor is excellent as is texture and the bun. If you are ever in upstate Minnesota don’t miss the chance to try The Local 218. All of their food is top notch. Onion rings were great. Kayla was an excellent server. This place is delicious!!! Nice bright atmosphere, friendly servers and awesome food. We had the new York rueben and the honey mustard sandwich, one with regular fries and one with the truffle fries. The truffle fries are extra. Fries are thin slender cut fries which we both like. The bread and meat in the rueben were delicious. My husband loved the chicken sandwich.... he was going to get it without the sautéed spinach but said it all blended well with the flavors of the sandwich. Their sauces are in house made.... the flavors were good together and the chicken was tender and juicy. We don't live close so this was a road trip treat and treasure. We will definitely be back!!!
