Ate here 3 years ago and rated it 2 stars but didn’t review it with detail.. was then harassed by restaurant as to why I gave a 2 star review.. well, I still remember, so here’s why : - Food incredibly average ( fish undercooked) and poor staff attitude. Go elsewhere. Deserves to be ‘temporarily closed’. Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2

We just had the most delicious takeaway from The Loft! Didn't want to fork out for a baby sitter so decided to try it out - and we are not disappointed... The Asparagus and leek salad was really delicious and flavourful (truffle labneh, where have you been my whole life?). Miso glazed barramundi was perfectly cooked, and paired with soft flavours. An absolute delight. We will do this again :)

Havent even eaten there yet but have recieved three email reminders of my booking with a threat to charge thirty dollars if I dont show. I have already confirmed my reservation but the email warnings still keep coming. Am now extremely turned off. Very bad business ethic. Am going to cancel because of this. This was the Loft restaurant in Lismore and have added screenshot of email to google maps photos. Email states that there will be a charge regardless that I didnt book with credit card. If this is not your policy then such an email should be sent especially not three times.

Hi there, are you referring to The Loft in Lismore, or Byron Bay? There are also other Loft restaurants - I’m asking as what you’ve described is not our policy, and we don’t take credit card details to secure a booking. Regards, kate from The Loft restaurant in Lismore
