The first time I stayed at The Lyle was serendipity, a happy accident. The high summer temps had seemingly given all adventurers a similar desire to escape the heat, and coastal accommodations were not to be had. Driven inland, my disappointment was completely quelled upon arrival at The Lyle. Located in a quiet town on the WA side of the Columbia River with easy access to Hood River, it is an ideal stay for adventurous people of all ages. The inn keepers have thoughtfully appointed each room with so much comfort. The mattresses are wonderful. There is a simple, tasty breakfast available. You should check out the amazing claw foot tub. Dining is available on site with outdoor seating. Delicious food and a varietal drink menu. The staff are phenomenal. Weekends there are talented musicians and live music. I highly recommend The Lyle to those seeking a quality quaint getaway.

I've stayed at the Lyle Hotel and it was fabulous. The owners make you feel like home. The restaurant is fabulous and I love the location and accommodations.
