The Matcha Lab 抹茶ラボ 鎌倉長谷店 @ Japan Visited on 1 June 2026 Stopped by The Matcha Lab while exploring Kamakura and decided to enjoy some matcha treats The shop had a clean and modern atmosphere, attracting many visitors looking for quality matcha-based drinks and desserts. Despite being popular, the ordering process was smooth and efficient. We ordered the Matcha Oat Latte and Matcha Soft Ice Cream. The Matcha Oat Latte was smooth and enjoyable, with a pleasant balance between the matcha flavour and oat milk. The highlight for us was definitely the Matcha Soft Ice Cream. It was superb tasty, rich in matcha flavour, creamy, and not overly sweet. The quality of the matcha really stood out, making it one of the better matcha soft serves we tried during our trip. We also noticed that the Mont Blanc Soft Ice Cream was highly recommended and seemed to be one of the shop’s signature items. Many visitors were ordering it, and it looked incredibly tempting. Definitely worth trying if you’re visiting. One thing to note is that the shop only offers outdoor seating. Fortunately, the seating area was comfortable and provided a nice place to enjoy our drinks and desserts while taking a short break from sightseeing. Card payment was accepted, making the purchase quick and convenient for travellers. The drinks and desserts were beautifully presented, making them perfect for photos before digging in. Conveniently located in the Kamakura sightseeing area, making it an easy stop for a refreshing break while exploring nearby attractions. Family-friendly and suitable for both adults and children looking for a sweet treat during their travels. Overall: A great stop for matcha lovers in Kamakura. The Matcha Oat Latte was enjoyable, the Matcha Soft Ice Cream was absolutely delicious, and the Mont Blanc Soft Ice Cream is highly recommended for those looking to try one of the shop’s most popular treats Meal type: Brunch Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3

The matcha is pretty dull. If you often drink matcha, you will know the color of a good matcha latte and this one is not one of them :). With 700¥ for a Matcha Latte, I prefer one with more matcha and less milk. This one mostly taste like milk add in a green color. I. Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
