From the moment we sat down at The Mulberry Tree, we knew it was going to be a special evening. The atmosphere is absolutely beautiful fairy lights wrapped around the trees give the whole place a magical, intimate glow that makes you want to linger long after your meal. The starters set the tone brilliantly: prawns in a rich, flavorful tomato sauce with grilled bread for dipping, a generous mezze platter with warm pita and fresh dips, and a filo pastry filled with tender chicken almost like a rustic, open chicken pie without a top. Each dish was full of flavour and beautifully presented. The star of the evening, though, was the steak. Perfectly cooked, juicy, and topped with melting herb butter, it was paired with crispy roast potatoes and fresh greens simple, elegant, and absolutely delicious. To finish, the desserts were exceptional. The crème brûlée, infused with fresh lavender from their own garden, was silky and aromatic with the perfect caramelised top. The passion fruit cheesecake was light, tangy, and refreshing a wonderful contrast that rounded off the meal. The service throughout was warm, welcoming, and attentive without ever feeling rushed.
