Right after visiting Monte Fano, come for a meal. The gracious staff works hard, stays positive and makes this place great. Terrific service is a strong point that plays a great role for the success of this restaurant. When you enter this place, you notice the cool atmosphere. But google users rated The New Cafe and it didn't earn a high rating.

We loved the kottu rotti at this restaurant! It was amazingly flavored, perfectly cooked, and had just the right spices. The staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was welcoming. A very typical Sri Lankan spot and with a visit if you want to try real homemade cuisine. Definitely a place I’d return to for this dish. This is a no frills restaurant serving very fresh and tasty local Sri Lankan food. It’s pretty small inside but the staff are all friendly and helpful. New fresh dishes arrive several times throughout the day and there is always a great variety with many vegetarian options as well as non veg. It can get a little hot and crowded sometimes. It is also very fairly priced. It looks like the bad reviews are from a very long time ago. I would highly recommend it for those on a tight budget. This place is incredibly good! All the old bad comments are now very out dated, this place serves up delicious hot food. They have great friendly staff that speak pretty good English and make some of the best local Sri Lankan food! They don’t have a menu but you can choose from plenty of different curries, rice, kottu, fried rice, rotis and hoppers and I’m sure they’ve got other things too! I got the vegetable kottu, with Dahl to mix with it (awesome combo) I also ordered the double egg masala hopper which was superb and a honey hopper to finish it off, it was all very reasonably priced, less than 1000 rupees per person!
