My husband and I visited the Old Courthouse a few weeks ago to get our marriage license and it was a wonderful experience! There is a parking lot behind the building making it just a short walk to the entrance of the courthouse. There are gorgeous views of the lake from the parking lot which we enjoyed seeing on our way in! The building is really beautiful as well! The security officers at the front desk are very friendly and complete the security check quickly. We were able to easily find the marriage license office with lots of helpful signs directing us where to go. There was no wait time, and the woman who assisted us in the office was phenomenal! She provided exceptional customer service, was friendly and outgoing, and got us in and out quickly. She explained in excellent detail what the next steps were and answered our questions thoroughly. The restrooms were very clean and I greatly appreciated that they did not have any overpowering fragrances or air fresheners, so my chemical sensitivities were not triggered. We were both very impressed by the Old Courthouse building and staff and this was definitely a great experience!!
