My partner and I are staying at the hotel, and unfortunately, the meal did not meet expectations, especially seeing how expensive it was. To begin, it took over 45 minutes for our nibbles to arrive. We ordered focaccia but were served what appeared to be cut-up French stick. When we asked our server about this, we were told that this is what your restaurant considers focaccia, which was quite surprising. The mains weren’t much better. My partner’s fish and chips portion was shockingly small, especially compared to what coach tour guests were being served, despite it costing nearly £20. My burger was dry, with hardly any bacon to speak of. To top it off, they tried to add an additional service charge, but we had it removed given the disappointing experience. Service is so poor. Took 20 minutes to serve up 2 hot chocolate and a couple of cookies. When they finally arrived the chocolate wasn't exactly 'hot'. 3 or 4 staff milling around doing bugger all. Service: Dine in Meal type: Other Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3
