Come here for some rest after a long walk around Redoubt Fortress & The Pavilion. According to the visitors' reviews, British dishes here are tasty and the menu is well-organized. Nice chill place for lunch, the sandwiches are great! They’re temporarily closed atm for refurbishment and will get a new owner but I still look forward to visiting again when they reopen; it’s one of my favourite spots in Eastbourne Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £1–10

Unfortunately not impressed.Visited The Pavilion for the first time since covid.I sat inside by the window next to some kind of side shelving which was thick dust!I asked for tea and one slice of buttered toast, they said sorry they can not do toast....what? Something so simple and they can't do it!! They had toasted sandwiches so why couldn't they do toast?So I settled for scone, on the very limited menu, the scone was nothing special.The place was meant to have been refurbished, can't say I noticed quite where? Apart from a new decking area at the front the inside is still old dated and shabby including the toilets.What a shame I expected better. Will not be returning and would not recommend.
