Having seen Historic Durham Athletic Park, it's time to have a rest at this bbq. Offering nicely cooked Bbq pork, BBQ ribs and smoked brisket is the unique characteristic of The Pit. Nothing can be better than eating good biscuits, pecan pie and chocolate cakes. Delicious draft beer, bourbon or wine are the best drinks of this place. It's time to degustate great tea.
The intimate atmosphere of this spot allows visitors to relax after a hard working day. Many guests note that the staff is terrific at this bbq. Professional service is something clients appreciate here. The Pit offers you a great choice of dishes for fair prices. A lot of people mark that the decor here is beautiful.

Good was great. Just missed the Mac n cheese because they ran out. Otherwise, great food, great service, great atmosphere.

Was going to be in the area for a concert at the venue across the street and heard good things about the food here. Made a reservation beforehand and didn't have to wait long after arriving for the table to be ready. Took a little longer than I would have expected to get the food but the place was very busy with several large parties. There was a small mix-up over what one of us ordered and what was brought to the table but the staff was able to get it sorted out quickly. Very good food. I live about an hour away from here so I can't go back often but if I happen to be around for another special event I would definitely consider coming back to The Pit.
