I drive 3 hours up to East Meredith and come up here from New Jersey. This place has never let me down with food, service, drinks or atmosphere. Everytime I come by, I get a windy hill farm burger, at least one special, and an order of Carolina barbecue wings. Don’t forget to stop by Steve’s whisky shed! Meet the staff, meet meet Cathy( she’s the best in the business and has the best energy), meet her husband Steve. Come to the ponds restaurant. Great food, nice service, very clean -BUT- tonight we attended a birthday party in a side room. Catered for 30 supposedly, but only 25 people came and they ran out of food on the taco bar. Then they refused to add any additional food- refused! Then the host arrived and they refused to give him, his son and his parents any food unless they paid for it separately. The owners (a couple) gave conflicting prices. One said they could reserve tables, the other said no the host had to rent the whole room. Plesant atmosphere but most of us will not return. Poor business practice!
