Such a lovely stay at the Portbyhan Hotel. The staff were very helpful and accommodating (special thanks to Karen for being so understanding) The room was cosy and very clean as was the Hotel. Breakfast was nice with very good service each morning from the staff. The location was perfect with beautiful views of the Harbour. Service: 5

I went back there this year after staying at the Portbyhan last year. I have been going there as a restaurant guest since moving to Looe. But due to feeling unwelcome of late I have decided to pull out as a guest. Some of the staff have been really nice but one of the serving staff on the front of house doesn't seem to like me at all, and he has acted like a bully! It's a shame since I used to like going for their food, and the female receptionists have been lovely. But this one guy is causing problems. I am a single female, which doesn't help. I think they prefer groups or couples, which I suppose is normal for a hotel. But I won't be mistreated just because I am on my own. I doubt I will be missed. Lol. Service: 1

We are local, but hadn’t eaten here for some years. Decided to give it a go, and what a difference those years have made. The food is beautifully served, by helpful, cheerful staff, and was very very good quality and fine tasting. We decided to share some “big chips”. That was a mistake. They were just about the best chips in Looe, and sharing wasn’t going to work, we had to order another bowl. Thank you Portbyhan, we will be back, especially as we now have a “locals card”. Service: 5
