A lovely looking hotel (from the outside) in a beautiful setting. Staff were courteous especially front desk. the hotel is mainly let down by the rooms and general decor and ambience. Rooms whilst large are uninspiring and a little rough around the edges considering the price point. The bar area is bland with tables dotted about into an area with an open fire which seems to be wasted with the current layout. Really could do with a rejig to utilise the fireplace and obvious features of the property. In general we really didn’t want to hang around too much at the hotel itself which is not what you expect, again at such a premium price in a beautiful location! Breakfast was good with attentive staff, dinner was expensive and OK with 200% mark ups on a big standard bottle of red. Rooms: 3 Service: 3 Location: 4 Hotel highlights: Quiet

A wonderful pub in the summer, I stayed there this winter. Breakfast and service very friendly, the rooms though was quite dated with a very soft mattress and could hear a lot of movement in upstairs room ( we were in a dog friend,y ground floor room). What a fab stay! We had a great time staying with you, breakfast was delicious, the bar area was fun and the room was lovely.
