The positives: the bar area and dining rooms were casual but nice and set a good atmosphere. The bartenders did a great job and were attentive. The menu selections were nice and we were able to make a reservation for our supper Club enthusiasts group of 10. We travel around trying new supper clubs together. There was ample parking and they didn't seem to be too busy. Possibly the best broiled shrimp I have ever had (we both ordered 12 Oz ribeye and scallops for one and shrimp for the other). I don't usually order French fries, but they were super good too.The bus girls did a nice job. The bathrooms were close. The service- beginning to wonder if we experience a loss in good service due to the size of our group versus going out as a couple or foursome. Our dirty dishes were not cleared in a timely manner. When I asked for crackers for my flavorless soup the waitress picked up a dish of town house crackers and put it in front of me. A flippant move. Who eats townhouse crackers in their soup? No one. Someone should have brought me saltines. The rolls were dry and crumbly and we left them half uneaten. But that was the theme last night. Our steaks had absolutely no flavor and mine was ordered blackened. Couldn't taste any charbroil flavor, blackening or seasoning. We requested steak sauce and she brought it out in a very small plastic ramekin. Maybe enough for a couple of bites. My steak was lukewarm. And their silverware is flimsy at best. No one asked us how our dinners were at any point and one of our friends was not given a ribeye but the new york strip, which is not what they ordered. Then came time to pay. The Ranch does not do separate checks for parties of 8 or more and we had 10. That's OK. But you would have thought we asked our server to take the SAT's at the table as she tried to figure it all out. 3 of the couples paid in cash. 2 paid with a credit card. We made it even easier by splitting the bill evenly by 5 couples-$125 per couple including gratuity. We even gave $I5 extra. I was a restaurant manager for over a decade and was supremely embarrassed for our waitress Heidi. It took us over 30 minutes to get out of there, long after we had finished eating. The whole night seemed too complicated for The Ranch to even come close to serving up a quality supper club experience. One would hope that would be their forte, however it was a fail for us.
