Good Food, Some Room for Improvement The Rib Company is a solid choice for a satisfying meal in Quito. We visited recently and overall enjoyed the experience, leading to a four-star rating. What stood out was the Family Plate. For $29.99, it was a generous portion of shrimp, ribs, chicken, and fries – easily enough for two people (we couldn't even finish the fries!). The shrimp, in particular, were amazing. The potato skins ($5.99) were decent, but not a must-have. The brownie for the desert, was tasty. There was a mint syrup, which was an unexpected flavor, that was good. The brownie was supposed to have bacon and it did not. There's definitely room for improvement, however. First, the "All You Can Eat Buffet" sign outside is misleading, as it's only available on select days (we believe Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays). Second, the service, while okay, could have been more attentive, and the waitress wasn't aware of menu items that were unavailable. The music was a little too loud for comfortable conversation. Finally, be aware that sodas are not refillable – you get a bottle. Overall, The Rib Company offers good value for the money, with the Family Plate being a real highlight. With a few tweaks to the service and accuracy of information, they could easily earn that fifth star. I would definitely come back if I was in the area.
