£22 for the most miserly roast dinner I’ve ever seen. 2 pieces of beef, a Yorkshire Pudding, 2 tiny roast potatoes, half a carrot, some greens and not even enough gravy to get the Yorkshire pudding wet. I’m serious in saying the kids meals were bigger. Sort it out Rising Sun. You’re my local and I want to eat there, but until you get back to your previous form I’ll be eating elsewhere. Price per person: £100+ Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Great range of beers from Abbeydale Brewery and guests, with amazing food - the new head chef Joe (previously of Juke and Loe) is working wonders in the kitchen! Lovely staff and always a warm welcome. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian offerings: Clearly labelled vegetarian dishes Dietary restrictions: Great gluten free options across both beer and food

I love this pub. I love the atmosphere and I love Abbeydale Brewery beers. Sadly though the food is getting fancier and more expensive. £24 for a small piece of meat accompanied by a equally small dumpling is not good value. I went away hungry and won't be going back sadly for food. Price per person: £30–40 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
