This compact restaurant sits within a 19C store which once housed the coastguard’s horse-drawn rocket firing equipment. The blackboard lists small plates and whole fish dishes; most of the produce is supplied by the owner’s father who, as well as being the harbourmaster, owns a boat and runs a small farm. More info

Incredible food in a beautiful setting. We sat outside and had lunch - a selection of small sharing dishes, as is the way of the restaurant. Most of our dishes were simple by design (e.g. bread charred on a grill, oysters, little dressed sweetcorn cobs, hake in thai curry sauce), but the devil is in the detail and everything tasted exceptional. The Rocket Store is pricey, yes (£100 for two without alcohol), but if you push the boat out on one meal whilst holidaying then it has to be this place. Vegetarian options: A couple of veggie snacks available, along side 4-5 veggie small plates and a couple of sides. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £90–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Hake
