So sad to see The Rocks Café close its doors. More than just a restaurant, it has been a wonderful part of The Rocks and Sydney’s historic dining scene. From the amazing food to its beautiful atmosphere and unique charm, it was a place that brought people together and created countless memories. It’s heartbreaking to see such an iconic place go. Was craving my usual mud cake and coffee. I got a bit lost cause the crowd has disappeared and then I saw the sign. Will miss the cakes and the warm staff. Will need to find another cafe to fill the void for my morning and late night cravings. One of the few reasons I walk around the Rocks area. Please send me the mud cake recipe if it’s okay. Very disappointing experience – serious hygiene concerns My husband and I visited The Rock Cafe and ordered seafood linguine and truffle fries. More concerningly, we had serious concerns about the hygiene and food safety standards inside the restaurant. After the meal, we did not eat anything else that day. At around 1:00 a.m., my husband became seriously unwell and had to go to hospital the following day. Unfortunately, the management did not provide a responsible response to our concerns regarding the restaurant’s hygiene and food safety. This was an extremely concerning and disappointing experience. We hope management takes this matter seriously and reviews its hygiene and food safety practices. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 Meal type: Dinner
