It is the best spot near Cooperage. Many people come to enjoy perfectly cooked bacon, cheese steaks and chicken rolls. A lot of visitors order good draft beer, wine or martinis. Come to this bar for great coffee.

A very nice spot to visit, as long as it isn't full up. I didn't expect it, but the food (a chicken Caesar sandwich with fries) was really good. Good enough to be thinking about it the next day. The bar is a little packed in with chairs, but again, if it's not full up it's a solid spot. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3 Order type: Dine in Price per person: $30–40

Friends and I gather for lunch every couple of months. We have had good meals and good times in a lot of places, and The Rook Manayunk is now at the top of our list. Two of us enjoyed 20 oz. pours of Guinness Draught with our lunch, while another opted for a "John Daly," which is an "Arnold Palmer" (1/2 iced tea, 1/2 lemonade) fortified with vodka. I had The Rook Burger, a double smash-burger, cheddar cheese, bacon, onion rings, long hot peppers, and mayo on a Sarcone's sesame seed bun.. The bun was fresh and flavorful, and the beef patties were cooked perfectly and mouth-watering. My friends chose The Cutlet BLT and The Where's The Beef, both served on Sarcone's rolls, all served with shoestring fries. All agreed that their food choices were excellent. Combined with our drinks and the relaxed atmosphere in a classic pub setting, we enjoyed a great lunch together. We'll be back.
