Found them at the Eastern Promenade and it was by far the best food truck meal I ever had! I had a crab cake croissant without cheese and it was so savory with the perfect amount of crisp to the croissant. And the egg on the sandwich! Oh the egg! It was perfectly done with some softness to the yolk without being so runny that it didn't cause an eggsplosion. Also the crab cake was delicious. All the flavors were very well balance, thus truly is the perfect sandwich!

I had the crab cake croissant and my daughters had the California burrito. Everything was excellent. It was the perfect size for a meal. The way the croissant was out together was so good. It had an egg with some spring mix and a hot crab cake. Since I live in NY, I have to figure out how to recreate it at home. Thank you for filling up my wife's ice coffee. It looked so good, we couldn't wait to walk to the shade and ate in the hot sun.

After walking around the Eastern Promenade, how can you NOT stop by The SaltBox Cafe? The Saltbox Cafe draws attention of being not only the closest place for food along the "EPROM", but also, LOOK AT IT! It's like a tiny wooden cabin on wheels! I initially stopped to grab a cup of coffee, but as soon as I got in line, I knew I had to try the food! I ordered the Crab Cake Croissant, which comes with a delicious crab cake tucked into a buttery croissant. But, it's not just that simple. The crab cake is topped with melted gruyere cheese, a fried egg, shaved onions, and drizzled with lemon ginger aioli. Eat this while sitting in the grass and the wind blowing in your hair, see all the cute little puppies passing by, waterviews, and you've got a perfect morning in Portland, Maine.
