You can visit this bar after visiting Tolbooth Museum. Taste British and Scottish cuisines here. Take a break and try perfectly cooked fish & chips, filet américain and king prawns. You will enjoy its food, particularly good sticky toffee pudding, panna cotta and crumble. Order delicious malt whisky, ale or draft beer, it's a must when visiting The Ship Inn, Stonehaven. Get your meal started with great coffee or good juice.

Based on only sitting in and eating a meal. NOT a stay. Overpriced. It seems to me The Ship is riding on its reputation. We ate in, had Cullen skink, a mixed seafood platter and drinks. The food was middle of the road and the costs of drinks were London prices. We had thought about staying there as the view of the harbour is unmatched. I know for sure now that was the right decision. Stayed at another hotel which threw in two breakfasts for only an additional £6. It was off season. The extortionate price of alcohol and food here will ensure I'll not pop in again. But a more reasonably priced drink and meal is easily found at other establishments. Service: 3

Had a good lunch here. Nothing dance but good honest grub. Food was great and reasonably priced. Service was efficient. Also has several decent craft beers. Great location on the harbour front.

The location of this hotel is superb! We did not stay at the hotel but stayed a few doors down from it. We did have dinner at the restaurant on 2 different occasions while visiting Stonehaven. The food and service were superb both times. The view of the harbour from the dining area in the bar is amazing! If you are looking for a room in the heart of Stonehaven, check them out. If you want an amazing meal, definitely book ahead! Service: 5
