The host was absolutely incapable of doing their job. Forgot we checked 5 minutes before my noon reservation and with a reservation sitting in the bar for a half hour while he sat three tables of 2 that showed up after. Was looking forward to trying this spot. Have a membership with the spa in the hotel since moving to Reno. Left without food or being seated. Cancelling everything at this hotel and moving on. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

The Shore Room at the Renaissance is one of those places we keep coming back to for just about every occasion. We’ve been here for Mother’s Day brunch, birthdays, dinners before shows at the Pioneer Center, and even hosted corporate events here; and we’ve consistently had a great experience. The setting is hard to beat, especially with the beautiful views along the Truckee River. Inside, the central bar has a moody, stylish, fun atmosphere, and the cocktails are phenomenal. It’s equally good for a date night, drinks at the bar, a family celebration, or a more formal event. We’ve also used the private event space downstairs along the river for several corporate gatherings, and it’s such a unique setting for Reno. One thing we really appreciate is that the menu changes from time to time, so there’s usually something new to try. We’ve had so many different dishes here over the years and everything has been consistently good. But whatever you order, do not skip the burger. It is easily one of our favorites and, in my opinion, the best burger in Reno. Great food, excellent drinks, beautiful river views, and an atmosphere that works for almost any occasion. The Shore Room continues to be one of our go-to spots in downtown Reno.
