Great NY atmosphere and good food. They make a big deal about their meatballs, which I think are mediocre. The pasta is solid as is the bruschetta.
Was very disappointed with the food. The marinara sauce was very salty. I mentioned this to the waitress and they said it was very acidic and they added sugar to it. On a whole I wouldn't recommend this place if you want some good Italian food
The hype is real about The Sicilian Butcher. Great, atmosphere, attentive and knowledgeable wait staff and might I add, how can you not beat an all day, everyday happy hour! The HH house red wine is great to pair with any meatball. Meatballs are a little bigger than the size of a golf ball. HH bucket of balls comes with 4, while a regular menu bucket of balls comes with 5. I'd recommend ordering ala carte ($3 per meatball) for the different styles of meatballs and sauces, if it your first time. Our bartender recommended the following pairings.. - Turkey Meatballs in Carbonara - Chicken Parm in Norcina - Eggplant in Truffle Mushroom - Uncle Arthur's Sausage in Vodka Cream Chicken Parm and Uncle Arthur's were the best out of the four. Don't forget about The Sicilian Baker next door as well after you are done. To my fellow New Yorkers, you don't have to go back East to great food. It's right here in the valley at The Sicilian Butcher.
