We had a lovely meal here yesterday. Service was super friendly and they were so knowledgeable about the menu that it made deciding extra difficult because everything sounded delicious!! The whole sea bass was cooked to perfection. Strikes a great balance between high quality food and a relaxed atmosphere. Can't wait to come back to try the bar snacks menu too! I spent a long time researching places to go for a bite to eat pre-theatre, and eventually decided that the Smithfield would be the one to go for. Incredibly pleased I did, because we absolutely loved it last night. The food is delicious, made by people who genuinely care about what they do (those pig head croquettes are insanely good, I could demolish about ten at a time easily). The bisque with the crab is, again, incredible. Such depth to it, I wanted to lick the plate clean. Great service, from friendly people who also seem to care about what they're doing and it really shows. Highly recommended for anyone who loves good food in a lovely atmosphere. Really good.
