Overall the food was good though a bit overpriced in my opinion. The atmosphere is always nice and relaxed. It feels like an old club and I say that in a good way. Our waitress was great. The one area where service was not great was when we first came in. We arrived there for lunch around 11:30AM to avoid the noon rush. We came in a stood at the front. The restaurant was not busy at all, less than half full by my quick estimate looking at the tables and booths that were occupied. I stood there with my friend waiting neat the hostess desk. I thought you had to wait to be seated. Some waiters/waitresses in the very back saw us but paid no attention. There seemed to be a hostess seated at the front desk but her head was down. She was an older woman. It seemed odd that we were standing there just a few feet away and she neglected to acknowledge us in anyway with a "be right there" kind of gesture. After 5 minutes of waiting there, I approached the hostess and asked if we needed to seat ourselves. I wondered if the policy had changed. It hadn't and she was clearly upset that I had the audacity to ask such a question. She begrudgingly sat us, acting as if we were putting her out. I understand people can get busy but to not even acknowledge us? It left a bad taste in our mouths for the rest of our lunch. As I said before, our waitress was great and the food tasted excellent but that hostess experience left something to be desired. Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5

Just had an unforgettable dinner at the Stagecoach Inn on Chinden Blvd! Tucked into the most succulent filet mignon I’ve ever had, each bite melting like butter, wrapped in the crispiest, smokiest bacon. The prawns? Oh, they were not just big; they were colossal and cooked to perfection! And let’s talk about the sides – the fries were golden and crispy, and the salad was fresh and crisp, the perfect accompaniment to such a lavish meal. Our server, Jen, deserves a shoutout for her outstanding service. Attentive without being intrusive, she ensured our dining experience was top-notch. Also, a big plus was the ambiance—no loud music to drown out conversation, just a comfortable, inviting atmosphere where we could actually enjoy our chat. Highly recommend the Stagecoach Inn for anyone looking for a meal that’s sure to impress in a place that feels like home. Cheers to the chef and thanks to Jen for making our evening so special! Parking: I think this is the only place in Garden City with ample parking.
