New owner now but we always try to give our business to the local area and wanted to continue to support them.
Well post COVID, we came back to try the patio despite feedback from other friends. We had the oysters on the half shell and one was fishy smelling; never had that before.
We both had the blue cheese and granny smith apple mixed green salad. No granny Smith apples but was tasty until I noticed the black and brown salad greens that were starting to liquify. Gross. I pointed it out to the waitress and she apologized and said she would let the kitchen know. Ok I think she heard me...
I ordered the Frenched chicken and it was dry and the mashed potatoes were cold. My wife had the crabcakes and she said had the consistency of tuna salad.
The bill came and I noticed they charged us for both salads and never discounted anything. I asked the other waitress that handled our payment and told her about the salad and I would not have expected to have been charged for that and the response was "we will let Management know".
So we tried despite others warning us off and we learned our lesson. Not going back ever again. Would be embarrassed to take friends and family there.
Oh by the way, having $750-$3000 bottles of wine of the wine list is a little rich considering the rest of the package you offer. Don't try to be something you're not. I suggest maybe convert to a basic menu and serve burgers and beer.
We miss you Peter...
