Fantastic restaurant. Had the chopped steak with green beans and coleslaw. The best thing was the bread pudding, wow, amazing. I keep coming back whenever I am in town. The Swanson is the epitome of Southern food and charm. It's much better than the Blue Willow Inn or Mary Mac's, in my humble opinion. The treasure in downtown Perry speaks to days gone by when family meals mattered. Their employees are delightful and the food delicious, especially the fried green tomatoes! Prices are affordable and the decor makes you feel like you just stepped into your grandmother's house. We love it here, and visit often. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Lunch

Had a terrible waitress with a bad attitude!! They were busy but she was very rude. We didn’t get any refills and when we asked for new silverware bc the ones we had were dirty she acted like we were a bother. The food was good but after the way we were treated I wasn’t even able to enjoy my late lunch. Then as we were leaving my husband spoke to the manager on duty and he acted like he didn’t care and blamed it on them being so busy. I’m sorry that’s not acceptable busy or not without there customers they don’t have a job. Needless to say I have never done this before but she didn’t get a penny of my money for a tip. Also the tablecloth on the table was soiled bc they didn’t change it out
