Friends who live locally took us here. Absolutely lovely food and service. Ripon's best kept secret as I was told. I really enjoyed my dinner.

This restaurant has a warm, cottagey feel to it, and the welcome as you walk in is equally warm. You would need to visit in spring or summer to enjoy the terrace, but it is all very nicely laid out. Steve, the chef and owner, has designed an imaginative menu at very reasonable prices. We enjoyed a fondue of smoked hadddock followed by a delicious freshly cooked boeuf bourguignon, a dish rarely found in France these days! The house wine was excellent, and there was an interesting list of New World wines also very reasonably priced. This was our second visit, and we look forward to our next. Thank you, Steve!
