Honestly a great little bar, tasty and strong cocktails. They do have some delicious snacks and desserts, but eat something more substantial before coming here. You do need to either have a reservation or show up at open- don't show up without a reservation if you have a party over four, you might be waiting for a while as there isn't a lot of seating but the atmosphere is fantastic. Just absolutely phenomenal. Price per person: $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

My group of three and I were wandering around downtown Stillwater. The Velveteen Speakeasy was recommended to us by a bartender at a different establishment! He ended up giving us very detailed instructions on how to locate this place (which will definitely be needed if you're planning on coming here at night). My group and I each ordered different drinks. A Pisco Sour, some sort of Whiskey drink and another drink I don't remember. They HATED theirs. I played it safe and ordered a Chardonnay. They laughed at me for ordering something so ordinary at a speakeasy. Turns out I was the one that had the best drink! The atmosphere and vibe is great though. And we all really enjoyed the truffles. Would I come here again? Yes. Would I come here to drink? No.
