Service was a bit slow and the onion rings weren’t crispy on the wagyu beef burger. We asked for no source and half of them came with the source. Beef patty was dry other than that the view was pretty good. Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3 Meal type: Lunch Price per person: A$20–40

We chose to visit this zoo on our child's birthday, hoping to create a special family memory. Around 12:00 pm, we happened to walk past this restaurant, loved the view, and decided to have lunch there on the spot. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from the very beginning. The staff member who greeted us showed little interest in helping and seemed to have no sense of customer service. After we were seated, we realized the menu offered very limited choices, but the waiter who took our order was professional and efficient, so we decided to stay and order anyway. A few minutes later, we politely asked the same hostess if we could move to another empty table that was clearly not reserved. Our request was rejected without any effort to accommodate us or explain properly. At that moment, I realized I was paying over AUD 100 for an unpleasant experience on my child's birthday. Later, I noticed that a Google review from just two days earlier had mentioned the same rude Southeast Asian hostess. It became clear that this was not an isolated incident. I immediately asked the waiter to cancel our order and we left. In the end, I would actually like to thank that hostess for helping us save over AUD 100. We spent that money elsewhere and ended up having a much more enjoyable birthday celebration. A beautiful view alone is not enough. Good hospitality is what makes guests want to return, and sadly, this restaurant failed in that regard. Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 Meal type: Lunch
