Had dinner at Uile-bheist Restaurant (Waterside) and overall had a good experience. I ordered the traditional steak pie, which was really tasty and definitely a highlight of the meal. The staff were super friendly and provided great service throughout the evening. One thing to note is that the food took quite a while to come out—over an hour—but we were a group of six, so I’m sure that contributed to the delay. While my meal was excellent, two people at our table ordered the roast and found it quite dry. To the restaurant’s credit, they were very apologetic about it and comped those meals, which was greatly appreciated and showed they care about their customers’ experience. Overall, the friendly service and good food made for an enjoyable visit, and I’d be happy to give them another try.
