Look no further. The one you seek is Maranda at The Wheel South. Bartender, sorceress, straight-shooter, cowgirl poet, ally, muse with a killer right hook.  This raven-haired polymath will take your drink order and none of your nonsense. Feeling uninspired by your go-to cocktail? Tell Maranda. She’ll effortlessly intuit the missing spark, pluck it from the ether, transmute it into an ingredient, shake/stir/pour, et voila, your new favorite libation. Or just order a beer and enjoy the service, company and quick wit of this self-possessed but entirely unpretentious human. She’s really the best.  (Review written sans-AI because ew.) This bar is always so much fun and such a safe space to hang out at as a woman. I have so much gratitude for the wonderful bartender Campbell who makes the best drinks and helps create the most amazing environment at this establishment. I hang out here often mostly with my girlfriends. Sometimes it’s challenging to find a bar where we can hang out in peace and just have a good time with the girls without being harassed. I never have had this problem at The Wheel and always feel so safe to enjoy the company that I have with my other lady friends. Maranda, Sebastian, Josh, and Nathan are such an amazing crew and I love sharing my time with them! Most of all, we all love Campbell so much and he is amazing! Thank you to everybody who works at this establishment to make something so beautiful! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The perfect neighborhood bar that is moody, cozy, and an absolute delight. The cocktails were absolutely the star of the show during my visit that were crafted and served by Maranda. She was extremely friendly, attentive, and provided top notch service. I’m looking forward to my return visit here. Price per person: $30–40 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
