I tried a burger with fries at The Rib Co. and overall I had a very good experience. I went around lunchtime and the place was basically empty, so service was quick and I was attended right away. The entrance was not super intuitive because you have to go in from the side, and I noticed a ramp, but it seemed quite steep, so I am not sure how practical it would be for wheelchair access. The place itself looks good, clean, and more modern than a basic local lunch spot. It has a clear American-style burger/barbecue concept, and for that specific role I think it does its job very well. The menu is not enormous, which I actually like, because it gives the impression that they are trying to focus on what they do well. They have ribs, burgers, wings, fries, and desserts. I did not try the ribs by themselves, but I ordered a burger that had rib meat in it and on top of it. The burger was excellent. The rib on top was delicious, the sauce was great, and the burger itself was one of the better burgers I have had. The composition worked well, the texture was good, and it did not fall apart too easily. It felt like a quality burger and definitely like something more special than a normal fast-food burger. The fries were fine, crispy and salted well, but they were not really the highlight. They felt more like filler on the side. The ketchup and mayonnaise on the table were also pretty basic, and I think the place could improve by offering more interesting or custom sauces, especially considering how much effort they clearly put into the burger. One good detail is that they give you plastic gloves, which is very useful for this kind of food. I actually got two pairs, and that made the meal easier to handle. Service was good. The person who attended me was professional and handled everything well. No complaints there. One issue, though, was the music. When I arrived, it was extremely loud, to the point that I had trouble hearing the person taking my order. I asked them to lower it and they did, which I appreciated, but it would be better if the music were kept at a more reasonable level from the start. The seating was okay, but the tables felt a bit high compared with the seats. I am tall, so it was not a big issue for me, but for shorter people it may feel a little uncomfortable. Price-wise, the burger with fries was around $10 and did not include a drink. For Ecuador, that is definitely on the expensive side, especially since drinks seemed to cost around $2 or more depending on the option. This is not the kind of place I would choose for a cheap everyday work lunch. It is more of a place you go to when you specifically want a good American-style burger or barbecue-style meal. That said, for the quality of the burger, I think the price is understandable. It is not the cheapest place in the area, and it is clearly not trying to compete on price, but the food quality is there. I did not try the desserts, but they looked interesting too. Parking directly in front of the place seems difficult, so you may need to look around nearby streets. I came walking, so it did not affect me much. The place is probably fine for kids, but I did not see anything specifically made for children. I also did not notice real vegetarian main options, aside from maybe desserts or sides, so this is clearly more of a meat-focused place. I also saw what looked like the owner and some workers preparing to film or make content for the restaurant, which gave the place an active, business-minded feel. It seems like they are trying to build the brand and present the place well. Overall, I would recommend The Rib Co. if you want a very good burger and do not mind paying a bit more than a normal local meal. Some parts could be better, like the sauces, fries, drink pricing, parking, access, and music volume, but the burger itself was genuinely very good. This is one of the places in the area I would actually say is worth going out of your way to try.
