We had a wonderful waiter who had to read the menu to us!! The words in italics are so small even with glasses we could read them. We asked and many guests and wait staff have complained so create new menus one can read!! Same for the wine list. Thanks!! The toast for the avocado tartine was so hard neither my friend or I could cut it. (And I can cut anything!! Usually not a problem) Our waiter had to and he cut it in large pieces, larger than bite size so Ann had a challenge eating it. But it was delicious. My lunch was too. You need a sign on the side of your building, sticking out so as we are walking toward Therese we would know we were headed in the right direction. Signage always helps. Now we know but first time..... a bit of a challenge.

I had read reviews of Therese before we went so my expectations were somewhat lowered. Overall, the food was very good: the four of us had pate, salads, steak, French onion soup and mushroom risotto. There were no complaints about the food. However, the service is very slow. We ordered drinks at 7pm and they were delivered to our table at 7:30pm. The noise level is a deterrent as is the overwhelming smell of beef grease. I had to air my clothes out outdoors overnight to get rid of the smell. I would return for the food as it was very good - the noise and smell would keep me away if those things aren’t fixed.

Our group of four for Sunday brunch enjoyed our selections and thought the prices were reasonable. And we're pretty fussy! There was a little initial disappointment because we thought the lunch menu as well as the brunch menu would be available, due to the web site presentation being slightly confusing, but we got past it. The space is pleasant and comfortable, parking is easily accessible, our servers were pros, and the noise level was generally fine. Therese is a nice new discovery, and I am sure we will be back.
