Once the promenade around the Central Park is over, visit Three. That's a good idea to order tasty fried chicken, tapas and calamari. Try good egg waffles, French toasts and vanilla ice cream that are offered at this bar. A lot of visitors order delicious Mimosas, draft beer or wine. Three has great latte, fresh juices or lemonade among its drinks.

Come here with children, this place provides an varied kids’ menu. But this spot isn't granted a high rating on TripAdvisor.

Love coming into Three! I've been coming in on and off since they renovated years ago and I can't think of a better place in San Mateo to grab a bite. Food is great and the staff is always on top of it!
Trendy sports bar located in the downtown part of San Mateo.  The restaurant has nice interior decor and Ambience, which was very lively. Extensive menu with nice wine bar. We ordered the spicy chicken wings to start, but it was way too spicy for us.   The French onion soup was pretty good and the sandwich was satisfactory.   I had to wash the  chicken wings spiciness off with my Arrogant Bastard beer.
Two stars for the friendly staff. This was my second time coming to this place, first time was great but sadly my second time around was very disappointing. Came during brunch time and got sat right away in the back. We ordered polenta fries to start California Benedict and the deep fried French toast. Well Polenta fries never showed up and our food was cold when we got our entrees which the server took back right away and had them re make. Still no polenta fries so we had the server just cancel the order. Being sat in the back we did see all the food orders that were being sent out just sitting on the counter 5mins plus. Doesn't seem like they have a dedicated food runner and having food sit around with no one attending is why our food was cold. Hollandaise sauce was bland home fries were unseasoned. Cocktails weren't that great either. Overall experience was just disappointing.
